Lior Geller is an Academy Award and Emmy nominated writer/director/producer and Guinness World Record holder whose films have played at over 100 international film festivals and won over 35 awards.
BIO
Lior grew up in Israel and New Jersey, and studied film at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. His graduate short film, “Roads”, played at over 70 international film festivals earning a Guinness World Record for the most highly decorated student film of all time and an Academy Award Nomination. The success of his student short brought Lior to Hollywood where he has since sold multiple feature scripts as screenwriter, edited over 75 movie trailers, directed over 16 hours of network television, multiple web series and an Emmy nominated German-French-Israeli documentary. Lior's debut feature film “We Die Young” starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, David Castaneda ("Umbrella Academy", "Sicario 2", "End of Watch"), Elijah Rodriguez (“Sicario 2”) and Joana Metrass ("Once Upon a Time"), based on his Oscar nominated short film, was recently released by LIONSGATE reaching #3 on Netflix in the US. Lior is currently in pre-production of a TV series based on the biblical story of the Maccabees.
